Fowey Beaches

Im going on an adventure to Fowey, Cornwall during Regatta week (begins 13th aug) with my rib and a mate and his hard boat.
Do any of you local chaps know of some nice sheltered, sandy beaches nearby for anchoring and BBQ's?

Or any other nearby "must see" places to go by boat?

Failing that if your about in Fowey during regatta week give us a wave!

Or go the extra and come to Falmouth.

downhilldai and myself will be there at that time as well, fowey is a lovely place and the regatta week should be interesting, we will be based out of falmouth area but visiting fowey for the regatta

We're down there the week after. I've done regatta week in Fowey before (in the 80's ) and didn't fancy the crowds of emmits this time round.

Becky and I will be down in falmouth at the same time, hope to see you out on the water

We will be down in fowey for tue,wed,thur nights with a few of our club boats.

just got back from fowey. For food visit the ship inn @ lerryn, avoid low tide though or you will be stranded . Little lantic's the best beach its sandy the others are a sand/stone mix. If your stopping on the east side of estuary (mixtow) take fuel containers, the garage is either over the other side of estuary + 2miles or an 8 mile journey. Slipways are all good. all in all a great place to visit quite simliar to salcombe without all the toffs
