Fécamp\Etretat - Round the Isle of Wight

Hi!

The BelgianPneumaticlub will do a trip from France to Isle of Wight on 2 June 2011 and 3 June 2011 (maybe 4 June too).

For the moment we don't know how many ribs will be present (3 ribs confirmed but probably more, hope to reach at least 10 participants)

We will start from Fécamp (France), have a look near Etretat and then navigate to the Isle of Wight.

Depending on the weather, we will pass East or West to reach Yarmouth harbour and stay the night.

On the next day, we will visit Cowes, navigate on the Solent, rib rib rib and finish the round and then go back to France the same day or the day after.

I would appreciate if someone could inform me about sleeping facilities near Yarmouth (B&B,...) not too far from the harbour and any other advice to succeed in this trip.

Hope to see some of you on the water or around a beer in Yarmouth !

The next week-end (11&12 June) we will do Nieuwpoort - Ramsgate

I have put a note on the Channel Ribs Facebook page, though I am sure Tim or one of his neighbours will be along with some info. Sounds like good couple of weekends.

Hi,

Finally, we will be min. 6 ribs for the trip.

As some members would like to camp, does anybody know if it's possible to put tents on meadow near the sea and if it's authorized?

I'm also looking for a website (if it exists) with all the B&b and/or camp sites near the sea in iow, would be grateful if someone can help.

Thank you Ray for your help and proposition!

It's possible to camp at Island Harbour up the Medina from Cowes.

Hi everybody,
I come back to you because the date approach and the preparation is on going.

We are still looking for some info about camp sites near the sea and we are trying to know if it is accepted to camp just on a meadow near the sea if we find a good place during our navigation.

Once again, I would like to thank all of you for your help!
If some of you are on the sea the same day and see us, come and let's have a drink together we will be pleased!
