Weymouth 2003

Hi All

Im glad you all enjoyed the event, we've had some very positive feed back from people which is allways good and it helps us to improve the event for next year as well. Hopefully some of you have some good photos of the weekend which I look forward to seeing on Ribnet. Unfortunately our camera broke before we left the boat yard.

If we have a decent break in the weather i will also look at organizing a trip to Alderney or Dartmouth over a weekend. I'll keep you all posted on that.

Cheers

Julian

I like your pictures, Dylan, and big respect to you and Daniel for doing the cruise in Bumblebee - it was bumpy enough in Blue Ice!

Thanks to Julian and Roger for organising and to everyone who came. It was great to talk to so many friendly and interesting people, both on the Weymouth trip and on our trip to Yarmouth on Friday.

P.S. If Miss Ile is out there, thanks very much for coming back to us when our engine was playing up. It was most reassuring to have a couple of boats next to us!

Dylan,

To the untrained eye or casual observer
It might seem that Taylor's been at the ale with the usual fervour
But having beeen thoroughly shafted on the way down
By that bastard of a Chancellor called Gordon Brown
And been savaged by my bookmaker Sporting Index
For the lack of late goals that day in the Premiership
And that very day having been roundly abused and berated
By those to whom I am most closely related
I thought I might be allowed a quiet place
For reflection in my own time and a little solace
I was in need of a pen to write me a reminder
And anyway Dougie was tired of being my minder
"Wear drysuit tomorrow and don't get troizers wet
Lest the members of Royal Solent should get upset"
When Dougie returned with tales of tattle and tittle
Sadly on my shirt there appeared some spittle
But dreams of Sunday morning were coming to fruition
When the Scorpions we beat were no longer fiction.

Hey Whiteshoes, didn't know you were so talented. You obviously have hidden depths. Maybe you could combine your talents for your next posting and write a rhyming joke? I'm looking forward to it already.
