Well, it's funny you should mention that.....the answer is yes, he wears a 5mm neoprene camo vest and here he is spotting for duck on a recent foray.

It's actually a useful little 10' knock-about that was built up your way, Wayne - Ipswich I think - by Newbourne Plastics, but it's long since gone out of production. It's called a 'Sniper 10' and is a cathedral-hull design, made of double skinned ABS and filled with polyurethane foam. As you can see I fitted it with a little Yammie 4hp 4-stroke which punts it along quite well. Trouble is it isn't a sea boat so I'm looking to replace it with something like a 3.4m Avon Rover RIB with a 15hp, so your comment about tubes is very apt. My Searider is way too heavy to start pulling across Essex mud and marshes!

When you say sea boat, exactly how far out to sea do you have to go to get to the marshes surely your little plastic jobby does the job, maybe suggest a hover craft

Cant believe you even make the dog wear a rubber suit !

Not very far but enough to encounter some unpleasantly turbulent sea, and having submarined the 'plastic jobby' a couple of times it's not something I would recommend

Been checking forecast for Saturday 15 MPH Westerly, should be OK as it will be coming offshore. Will proberly aim for Woodbridge and stop for something to eat at the harbour as there is a food parlour there. Hope everybody is still coming, it was great out there yesterday.

Sounds like ideal Rib weather to me, I can't wait. Seriously it shouldn't be to bad, went out in a lot worse than that when I had the 5.2 PT.It makes it more fun, and it sorts the men from the boys. I think winter Ribbing makes you appreciate the summer more!!

Yes 10 o'clock BilgeRat, we should really pay for slip but there's not usually anyone around in the winter months, just have £8.00 handy just incase Tim.
