Glad you are able to join us however you are now either 38 or 39 as there has been a little flurry of registrations over the past couple of days.
Whilst I am fully aware predicting weather from 7 days out is not a great idea and certainly unreliable the weather sites are indicating superb weather all next week through and past the RIB Rendezvous weekend.
As I look out of the window here at Easdale this morning the sky is light blue, the sea a deep blue, visibility is amazing - you can clearly see Colonsay and it's really calm.

Yeah, I'm not surprised. However my locality is rapidly running low on small furry animals and I've had a caution from the local Wildlife Ranger. Hopefully the Weather Gods will remain appeased or I'll have to turn my attention to livestock...

FINAL INFO BY e mail

Info will be sent out tomorrow (Wed)
I will, if necessary, keep updating this site but assume all is well
Weather forecast looks great Latest is S or SW gusting to 10 knots!
Should be OK for the NI contingent.

Oyster Bar have just confirmed breakfast times as 0800 - 1000 Sat and Sun.
Have you booked your BBQ ticket which includes free entry to 'String Driven'
Phone Keren 01852 300022

Don't forget the RIB, suncrean and hat. Bring plenty of petrol, with calm seas I think we may spend more time on the water exploring all those creeks and bays.

Tempted to join us as a late entry - just register or turn up and we will sort

Mooring up - The guys with the large RIBs - use the spare moorings in the Sound. The ferrymen will happily act as a taxi service. Medium sized RIBs tie up on the Seafari pontoon inside the harbour. Please park neatly and expect to raft up. Smaller boats use the running moorings inside the harbour. Those who have been before it would be great if you use the bow and stern moorings in the harbour rafting up on them if necessary

See most of you Friday, looking forward to it

Tony

Cheers Steve will try but hope its better than last year when we were to busy hanging on in F5/6 to take anything. But it was exciting and the memories are imprinted in my mind.

Best of luck to Tony and everyone else for this year's trip - it looks like the weather is going to be cracking and i hope all goes well. Rather gutted that i cant be there as we have to go to a mate's wedding - cant believe he wouldnt agree to change the date given the clash!
Have a good one and hopefully see you all next year
Cheers

Hi Tony

Kids fancy taking in a beach at some point on Saturday if the weather is good. Any suggestions? Had wondered about Calgary bay on Mull, are there any good ones on south side of Ardnamurchan?

How about Davie Balfours Bay on the Ross of Mull, fantastic enclosed white sandy beach usually with no one else on it. There's a couple of otters live in there as well.

I'll be joining you all on Saturday somewhere off the Lismore corner of Mull (life is getting in the way of a good time again.... )

For anyone that's interested, I have a pile of bits cluttering up my garage which I can bring along.

- A pair of unbraked 750Kg suspension / hub / bearing assemblies - done about 100 miles.
- A merc Trim gauge
- a clamp / swivel off a Yam 75 (minus the power trim).
- A suzi leg off a DT25/ 30
- A suzi CDI off a DT25/ 30 (1992 version)

If anyone wants them, have a search in the "bits'n'pieces section & let me know either here or by PM before fri eve & I'll throw them in. Make me a vaguely sensible offer - the midsection bits I'll swap for a pint of whatever they have on tap at Salen!

See you all saturday....

Just returned to Easdale. Everything is ready and the weather is as everyone has predicted should be in our favour. As the sun starts to set now the skies are reddening - superb again. Oyster Bar and Puffer all stocked up, pontoon is cleared, T shirts were collected today. Geoff W is all set to meet and greet Fri.

Beaches within Sunart/Sound of Mull are a bit hard to find but I recall one just west of Glenbeg on the south side of the Ardnamurchan peninsula. You should see it as you enter Loch Sunart. Obviously if you head Iona/Ross of Mull as the guys say there are beaches to die for.

Safe passage to Easdale

Flying Test Monkeys are "Go"

That's what we wanted to hear Tony!

We should hit town in the late afternoon, earlier if the Venison Burgers are off the menu in Craighouse.

I've just had a particularly good bit of news - Tom was just messin' with us about having to take a Fishwisher Fibfisher Fastfisher...

...no, he has designed an Exquisite Torment for donegaldan and myself. He's lending us a boat that we can't say no to, the fuel consumption of which would bring a tear to a statue's eye!

A truly Evil Genius - a man after me own heart

Tuts - the 16m isn't a RIB and couldn't go to a RIB Rendezvous
