Seafari offer a scheduled trip from Easdale to Iona and Staffa. Depending on your cruising speed but at 25 knots Iona is 75 minutes away and Staffa a further 20 minutes. A circumnavigation of Mull is circa 100 nm. Fuel by cans at Tobermory.

The new Oban pontoons are in and functioning. You can now park your boat in central Oban.

Thanks to everyone who is intending to support the event. We are due calm seas. Colonsay and particularly Oronsay is a fantastic destination. I am sure some will head out via The Corryvreckan.

Yes will be towing - Black Hawk is located in Germany but makes more sea miles around UK/Ireland or Scotland than home in Germany

Easter is almost over so it’s time to concentrate on ERR
The Easter school holidays are almost over so it’s the time to start concentrating on ERR 2018. I am heading south but leaving Carolyn (as usual) to pick up the pieces and get things sorted. Carolyn will update but a while ago we stood at something like 30 registrations. Add the locals who never register but turn up if the weather is fair and we will be in to the 40 plus RIBs.
The weather recently has been good. I launched a locals 5.8m rib yesterday, he intends to be in St Kilda at the weekend. Let’s hope the wet and windy winter brings a calm ERR.

Been sorting kit out today in preparation for our trip up to ERR this year.

The last two years we’ve stayed up after the event for the following week and cruised the surrounding area wild camping. Been lucky with the weather which on both occasions has improved immediately after the weekend.

This year we are going up on the Wednesday and launching at Crinan.
We plan to stay on Gigha Wednesday, Tobermory on Thursday and then head to Easdale for Friday/ Saturday/ Sunday with the last night stopping on Jura before heading back to Crinan then home.

Thought we’d have a bit of luxury this year so we have booked b&b and hotels all the way!
