The Weather

We will offer a ‘Locals’ view of the event forecast on Wednesday. Those who organise annual events will appreciate that the corresponding date for the event each year gets earlier until the date slips back one week to keep everything in line. 2018 is the ‘slippage’ year. The event has moved from the end of April 2017 to 5 May 2018, It is perhaps ironic that yesterday I was able to head 7 miles out to The Garvellach Islands and did the journey in our 3.4m RIB. It was no problem and I still have all the enamel on my teeth.
We never build up hope when we have to forecast the weather 7 days in advance but if all things are to be believed there will be a squish of wind here Tuesday/Wednesday this week before the weather calms down again.
Don’t forget to pack the suncream and bucket and spade should we finally make it out to Oronsay.

We look forwards to meeting friends old and new

Tony

I am popping into our local church, chapel, mosque and synagogue this week in the hope the forecast as it shows today does not give way to storms and snow ;-)
Looking forward to meeting everyone on Saturday. You forgot to add speedos to the Oronsay packing list Tony

Jeff - you know the sun always shines at Easdale

Darwen - basically yes just turn up. The main group departs 0930 irrespective of destination, a few stragglers (or Friday night revellers) follow on slightly later. Their excuse being they like to bring up the rear and sweep up any stragglers.
Just pop into the Seafari office and let Carolyn know you are joining us, its as easy as that
