Cream Teas at the Eddystone (Plymouth) 1st May 2016

Folks

I'm already aware that a couple of people can't make the Pasty run this year (14th May) so thought I'd throw another date and trip into the mix.

On Sunday 1st May I will be serving Cream Teas at Eddystone lighthouse.

High tide seems to be showing as 1305 Devonport, (2016 Tide Table for Plymouth (Devonport), England for fishing <º(((><) so thinking that a 1200 jump off from the breakwater fort, Plymouth Sound for the 14nm (approx) trip over to Lighthouse will be in order.

A 1200 start time will get us to Eddystone 1245 ish which is still pre high water, which leaves loads of time to eat a cream tea and toddle back for a dropping tide recovery - perfect.

As you all know my tide planning hasn't always been the best but after checking with others I'm pretty sure the times are right

If my times are off though please do shout.

Aye Pikey, If I was on the other side of the lake I'd be washing down those skones wit ya mate. I even marred a English bird but her mom never taught her to bake those biscuits. How about a good scone recipe for this yank so I can make me own at the proper time of day.

All the best

Apparently the water at the lighthouse is deep enough for even your toy young Ian.

And yes we have enough water to get into Looe too a couple of weeks later!!
