Fantastic display.......as always. This year the fireworks just kept on coming. One of the best outings in my book. The speed ristriction in place is an obvious safety issue, but I have always wondered why the 'Red jet' is not part of that same limit. That thing bearing down on you when perhaps the odd stray boat coming back - doesn't bare thinking about.

Money

Today I was out in our training RIB in and out of Hamble Marinas and I stumbled on some money dropped by a RIB which may have been dropped last night when someone returned from the fireworks.
If anyone on here knows they have lost some money and , knows the amount and where they moored I will return it to them if correct. Otherwise it goes to local Hamble rescue boys.
Drop me a pm if you think its yours, with the info I need to be sure.

Didn't quite make it
Off loaded the boat from the trailer, motored over to the pontoon without a hint of trouble, and tied up to wait for friends, sat for 15 minutes or so, friends arrived got kitted up and OK lets getting going - Not. Engine would turn over, cough and splutter and run on about two and a half cylinders and then cut out. Despite many attempts, silent prayers to the God of RIBs, equally silent cursing, it was not to be. Not yet had a chance to investigate, but not too happy!! Seems like we missed a good 'un.
