Cowes Fireworks

Assuming that summer will come back and Friday 7th Aug is a glorious day (ok, not raining), is anyone planning to go over to watch the Red Arrows and fireworks?

We are planning to launch at Lymington around 1730 and cruise up. Some nice food and drinks as usual and hope to raft up with others for a bit of a social.

Using Lymington as its such a good slip to return to at night, floodlit and good jetties.

We will be there, but shore based.

Don't forget the blanket 15 knot speed limit.

And the 125 metre exclusion zone!

Cowes Week 1st - 8th August. Fireworks on Friday evening. ---- At approximately 2130 on Friday, 7 August a firework display will take place from a barge moored 300m north of the Royal Yacht Squadron Haven. (WGS 84 Positions 50 46.16N / 001 17.98W). The position may be modified depending on the prevailing winds and weather on the night. Prior to the display the firework barge will hold station and transfer to the above position using a tug at approximately 2115. The main fairway will be closed to all commercial traffic from 2110 to 2150 for the duration of the firework display. The 125 metre exclusion zone will be strictly enforced and applicable to all craft.
