Clacton Air Show

It's coming up to that time of year again for the Clacton Air Show, with a bit of luck the weather will be better than last year so it will go ahead. The dates this year are August 25/26 so I am planning the cruise for the Friday 26th.Leaving from Levington Marina, low tide is at 10.34 hrs and high tide at 17.11hrs,launching is at any state of tide so a mid morning launch is fine. After the Air Show a stop off at Woolverstone Marina just 10 minutes from Levington for a nice lunch and a pint or two before returning back to Levington. It would be great to get a good number of us together and put some new faces to names.

Wayne - Dan's broken his leg apparently but he should be fit by the air show. Rumour has it he tripped over one of his cheese and pickle sandwiches, smacked his head on a sausage roll and sustained mild concussion. Needless to say he's well gutted by the whole episode, particularly as the sausage roll was one of the recently launched Tesco 'Finest' pork and leek variety.

Thanks for the offer! I don't think there's anything in the calendar then so as long as Richard can get time off work we'd love to tag along. Cheers! Will be in touch about it nearer the time.
