Yes, I admit, I am a huge fan of M&S food and there's sod all wrong with their preheated meals! Had a simply exquisite M&S Scottish steak and ale casserole this very evening accompanied by a pack of their Favourite Five Vegetables, pre-washed naturally, followed by M&S strawberries and double cream and finished off with some of their delightfully creamy stilton. And such a pleasure to shop there, too - none of the appalling Essex riff-raff one encounters at Tesco's and Asda and, significantly, check-out ladies who can conjugate verbs, articulate pleasantly with their customers and who use deodorant.

Hi Wayne, we're organised (well sort of!).

Where do we need to be, and when?

Great news Richard,I was planning for a launch at around 10.00 but that is flexible as I appreciate you have some way to travel. We will have plenty of time for sight seeing on the way down there as it is only a half hour run if we went directly there. As for a packed lunch Phil it's a good idea to bring some sarnies and refreshments as we will not get to Woolverstone until later in the afternoon after the show. There's always fish and chips on Clacton seafront for a midday snack,it's a sandy beach so no problems going ashore.

Unless there are waves of course - then good luck! Watch out for the hidden groyne 100 yards to the left of the pier (looking to shore) when the tides up.

We had a great time. Thanks, Wayne and Julie, for getting us all together and for taking Richard and me out in your gorgeous (and very fast!) boat. It was great to meet up with Phil, Bern and Jason again (sorry we didn't manage to talk more, Bern & Jason) and really good to meet Peter and Dan.

The trip to Clacton was great fun and the airshow was very enjoyable - pictures to follow over the next day or so. And the food at Woolverstone Marina was every bit as good as Wayne promised it would be.

Hope to see you all again before too long - maybe in the Solent next time?

Hope you didn't have to wait too long for the breakdown truck.I still think they were dummies on the wings of the Bi-planes!
