Hi Richard, yes I am keen - was looking forward to it!

Yes the crack along the transom has got worse but the main thing is that the rear jockey seat has cracked all down one side and is nearly coming off! A seal on a fuel tank has also gone!

Oh well, these things happen! Just always at the wrong time!

Er,

Don't want to put a damper on things but they are forecasting 30 knot winds for Friday, mid & south Channel at the moment.

Do we have any other back-up plans? Out Saturday, back Sunday for example.... (depending on how quickly the low moves)... or another weekend?

Which one of you lot angered the Gods anyway?

Lets hope it all changes!!!!

Mike - I prefer the pub in force 6 - C

Hmm, give it a day or two and the forecasts might get a little more accurate. We postponed going out on Sunday because today was supposed to be better, according to the forecasters. So much for that!

Looks like there's a high pressure over Greenland - how's that for a back-up plan?

Actually, this was a cunning plan by me! As you know, they've been switching between heavy rain and force 7 all weekend. This morning they had 30 knot winds and a nasty looking low over the channel on Friday.
Now I knew, if I posted something about it on RIBNET, the bad weather would go away, just to prove me wrong...... And sure enough, I've just looked and the low has disapeared and the winds have dropped to 15 knots!
It worked you see!

Remind me to pick a pine cone and some seaweed on Friday!
