Hugh,

Myself and 1 crewman have now reserved Saturday the 9th September for the Thames Cruise. Best of luck with your planning.

Although I am worried about my boat in this heat as its stuck on the south coast and I'm not too sure how hard the tubes will get.

I might be up for this again. If your after somewhere to stay, Battersey travel lodge is nearby and if you book early enough could be as low as £25 for a double room. There's normally enough parking to get a RIB in the carpark too.

Hugh,
could you tell us shortly where we shall be meeting for this trip?
Where can we park? and are we better to stay overnight somewhere and get booked in? Shall be bringing our three year old and two other children so dont fancy setting of in middle of night and then having grumpy children for the day.
Ian

I have had a look at the tides and unfortunately they are not very good for a trip.

9th September 2006
(Saturday)

@ London Bridge

0235 1.90m
0918 0.36m
1447 7.60m
2151 -0.12m

+0031 for Putney Bridge
+0100 for BST

So we are talking about 0.36m of water at 1050ish......hmmm. These are not good tides for the trip.

It might be best to launch after lunch at Putney, fly downstream, grab a bite for supper to eat then explore down towards Dartford.

Hugh, the plans we dicussed on the phone (ie launch at Petersham) are not possible with these tides.

Chris
