Camping on the CLYDE

Planning a camping trip on the clyde but were unsure of tent / rib friendly places.

Only time ive camped was the shinty pitch at tighnabruich!!!

anybody know of any good spots where we can pitch a couple of tents and anchor the rib safely for the night?

cheers

sleep on board

Hi Craig

Sleeping on board ! saves carrying all the extra gear.

We will be bringing Storm Breaker up to Northern Ireland in August via the West Coast of Ireland. Then leaving boat for 2 weeks. Then end Aug popping back for some clyde cruising and return to Soton.

touch bases again then?
cheers Paul

That's my problem understanding you Biggers, you say exactly what you mean...

I do a nice "tall stack". And an excellent coffee with quite remarkable Restorative Properties.

Right, seeing as we've ruined poor Craig's thread AND as we're on "plain speak"...

BNJ, probably the best blended Scotch, has a substantial drop of Ardbeg in it, making it passable pish . I get a bottle gratis from a supplier every Christmas - shame to put it in the landrover wash bottle with the Polski vodka

Your working knowledge of Whiskey with an "E" will have to be expanded too. I view this as a personal responsibility which I intend to discharge at a future date when our wakes cross. Meanwhile I would draw your attention to Connemara (Peated Single Malt), the range of Bushmills Malts, Tyrconnell Malt and Inishowen. In the blended category - Black Bush, and finally Redbreast Pot Still.

There's work to be done!

Ah Richard you bring back foggy memories of nights in Ireland on the 'piss' (no offense to the Redbreast) lovely stuff. I still have half a bottle here I will bring it with me for the meet in Jura/Gigha!!
