The code for the hotel is what we have done with the land rover clubs we pick a hotel and have a rough idea how many then ring up and book it your self using your site name which can be amusing

Can we now call this thread with your permission B.S. Caernarfon to Dun Laoghaire organised by the Black Shadow Co. A much better option if I say so myself.

Dun Laoghaire it is

It looks like most people would like to go to Dun Laoghaire and not Wicklow so i have asked JK if he can change the title of the cruise. How does July 14th sound to everyone
Willk is making a few enquires for us ref The Royal Marine hotel to see if they can reserve a number of rooms on spec and a code would release them to individual bookers Willk
I will post any info on this as soon as we find out it may be best to book your rooms asp once we know
So if the 14th is okay with everyone and we can get a few rooms booked all we need now is the weather to play ball we have Cardinal Paul working on that one

To date for the weekend so far we have,
Tony T
Hadd
Pikey Dave
Dave Griffiths
Maximus
Dave P
Adam MS
Telcowilliam
Discomick
Neil Mccrirrick
Rocknrolla
Declanor

Day trippers ?
HP
Chris Caton
Jeff H

Crew
Natalie
Kerny ?

After some consideration Dun Laoghaire looks a better destination due to facilities at the marina regarding fuel,security,etc... accommodation and amenities

I expect to have more useful info by the middle of the week. The hotel has a very lenient cancellation policy, so plans could be changed if the wx doesn't play ball. I'll report all when I get the important laydee to talk to me...

Well just one problem with the dates

It seems that the 14th is a Dun Laoghaire is hosting a major ISAF sailing event associated with the London Olympics from the 11-20 July so the hotel is fully booked as is most everything else.
Also the marina/s are a no go for that period so...... we have a few options change it to the 30th of June or 7th of July i think the 7th looks better

Many thanks to Willk for finding this out for us, also he is trying to do a deal at the Royal Marine Hotel (what a great bloke) Willk
Prices so far £70 for a single and £87 for a double this includes breakfast. They are happy to code the deal and let individuals book.Cancellation is penalty free provided they get notice the day before. This is great if we pick a weekend and the forecast did not favour us we could change the date

So if its okay with everyone how does the 7th July sound

Sounds fantastic, a lot of work gone in ther from both you and willk.

Sounds good to me. I'm working on it and if weather window were excellent I'd stay over, perhaps even kip on boat if it were nice!

30th is the wife's birthday so unlikely for me. 7 th better.
