Did Clacton from the rib yesterday ,not bad ,red arrows seem to go from strength to strength ,everything else seems a bit tame since my father used to take me to Biggin hill in the late sixties ,different then ,you could have the electric lightning followed by the vulcan bomber ,not an ear plug in sight ,and crowd retained at the edge of the runway by a chestnut fence ,how different it was then ,in the mid seventies mildenhall USAF ,opened its doors to the public ,stealth bomber on a walk round stand ,where we learnt how to barbecue and what a burger and a Michelob were .
