Nice pics Neil, though a good choice to go by train. We were out there off Boscombe Pier but very choppy and drifting with the windy conditions so little chance of taking our own photos.

Great show by the Lancaster flying right above us, but we had to return to the shelter of Christchurch to see the Red Arrows from afar (twice in one week as we saw them at Fowey as well). An excellent routine.

Hope the conditions improve today and tomorrow. Great place in the water to see the show when its calmer.

Steve

given the weather looks ok i am intending on bring the wife and daughter to see the airshow from the ocean...
in local peoples consideration where would be best to launch from (xchurch or poole, where will best parking be etc etc) i would intend on getting there a little bit early (10-10.30 ish..)
would be good to meet other ribnetters (look out for me (chubby chap in a scruffy sr4)

Will deffo be out tomorrow with a couple of my mates. I managed to fix all the broken bits over the last couple of days!! Weather looking great for tomorrow.

will be leaving Lymington at around 10:30/11am.

Does anyone know of any beaches nearby that we can anchor off, and wade to shore? I was thinking of Studland/south beech the ladies were going to meet us there for a BBQ, but thats a bit of a trek to get to by road.

Somewhere between Christchurch and Lymington would be great, but not key haven spit as one of the ladies is 8 months pregnant and wouldn't walk too far.

If you can cope with 22 miles Calshot spit should be good, i don't expect it to be too busy on the slip and it is good access before hitting all the traffic.

You were probably right, by the time I had navigated there and back my GPS was showing 56 miles.
