A few years back they had an Ice Cream boat floating around delivering :-) Expensive but I thank them for taking my money in exchange for an ice cream

I'll almost certainly be down for Saturday.

Any hints on the best place to watch from for a first time visitor? Is it bets to hang back some where like christchurch harbour to anchor or can you get in closer? Im coming from Southampton anyway so east is good for me...

Dont mind being a bit back from the action as long as we can see and in general would rather be somewhere a bit calmer both in waves and in boat numbers!!

Thanks!

My feeling would be unless you get 'prime' spot - centre of the display line ( marked by a big orange mark on the cliff) on the edge of the no entry zone the best bet is just off to each side of the no entry zone on the outer edge .

Here aircraft have to go directly over head .

From Xch harbour you really wont see much apart the arriving and departing aircraft into Bournemouth so definitely come right along to the piers ( Bournemouth and Boscombe)

I'll be going out of Poole late morning/ early afternoon.

Weather looks to be holding..

if anyone is out come and say hi or call on Ch16 - 'Streaker'

The best place from land is on the cliff top between the two piers, there will be a large fluorecent banner on the side of the cliff, this gives the pilots a centre for their displays so it's a good spot.
