BIBOA Dartmouth Trip - Friday 9 to Sunday 11 May 2008

Afternoon,

Please ignore the last thread, Due to problems with accommodation in Dartmouth this event will now be run on the 9th & 10th May instead of the 16th.

This is the only weekend in May where accommodation is still available. Please do book up early though as its likely that this weekend will also be busy.

Afternoon all,

The weekend runs from Friday 9th May and we return on the Sunday 11th May.

This is the only weekend in May that accommodation is available due to music festivals and the bank holiday weekends etc.

Yes this is a DIY one im affraid.

They have a list of all bed and breakfasts and hotels etc.

Afternoon Everyone,

Dartmouth is fast approaching now, If you havent allready done so could you please let me know if your still attending the weekend and how many people will be with you.

Could you also let me have your Boat Name, Hp and which day your leaving on.

At present we have just over 20 people. There are several boats leaving on the Friday 9th May with the other running down on the Saturday 10th May.

I have booked the restaurants and need to confirm up numbers.

Morning

Our boat will not be ready for Dartmouth so Jon Adlard has kindly offered me a lift with him. We will be leaving from Poole at 10am and will meet people from the Solent at Old Harry Rocks etc at 11am.

Can everyone use VHF CH 77 for the trip. I will be on board Ocean Devil if you need to get hold of me.

Afternoon Everyone,

As you can see i have arranged for good weather for the Dartmouth trip.

For those of you leaving Saturday we will meet you in Torquay Bay around 3pm and venture into Torquay for a drink so you can unwind after your trip.

Saturday night I have booked us into http://www.spicebazaar.co.uk/ indian restaurant at 7.30 pm.

For those who have not been before this is a excellent place to eat and slightly different from the norm.

Please remember to use VHF CH 77, Paul Beaurain is kindly in talks with the Saturday group so please liase with him.

We had a good run back ourselves on the Sunday and made Ribex for 10.15am!

Thanks for the replies, glad you all enjoyed the weekend and thanks for coming along.

Time to move onto the French trip now so I will have a word with him upstairs and arrange the weather, I feel that we are going to pay for it some where along the way this season though.
