I have had a look at aberafon today, great campsite, only problem is beach is rocky so may have to anchor up away from beach. Good holding ground though. There is a slipway on the site as well so it may be an option to launch from there for some as well. Holyhead Breakwater

view today of the area on the breakwater. as you can see they have created an embankment around it which im guessing is to stop caravans and campervans from going on there, but there are no signs etc saying that you cant camp there.

I asked a couple of locals that I knew on the island and they have said white beach which is just behind pen mon lighthouse is well sheltered, easy sea access, or there is a campsite close to the sea at red wharf bay but the tides are a problem there with drying out

Looks okay when it's flat but trying to launch and recover a 6.5m rib when there's a bit of surf is a right pain in the ass I'd sooner beech the rib and wait for the tide if the times are okay
