Anglesey April 18th and 19th

We're planning to go up to the Strait that weekend (first of the season for us)

I haven't spoken to Chris to see if he can launch (but will do soon)

My vague plan is to have a play and a fettle on the Saturday either in the strait or out through the sand banks.

and, IF the weather's kind, to go anti- clockwise round anglesey on the Sunday (high tide at Menai Bridge is 11.45).

Now here's the thing:

We've not been all the way round anglesey and have no idea ho long it'll take(i'm guessing 4 or 5 hours).

We've not planned a rib net trip before.

We really are fair weather people so if the weather's horrible on the Sunday we'll be the first to welch out but will be happy to wave others off!

Can anyone tell us how long it usually takes to get round?
Does anyone fancy a vague weekend in North Wales that weekend?

Having looked at the macmillan 2014 anglesey thread I don't think I'm treading on anyone's toes but pleases let me know if i'm trampling on anyone else plans.

I dont think anybody will have a problem organising any trips on here, the more the merrier!! A run right round the island is a great trip, it can easily be done in four hours but it is best to have a couple of stops looking at the different coves etc, I will probably be around that weekend but it will be weather dependent on going round the island, last year we had great weather in april though.

Seems not - Since I have moved Beretta closer to the water all the trips planned on here have been booked by family / work.

The 18th is my sons naming ceremony so I have to go to that.

On a side note - I will be out this weekend though

Kids. When young they just eat your time up. Boating ends up at the bottom of the pile. :-(

Steve,
The weather looks great next week if you are off, I'm thinking of having Tuesday 7th and Wednesday 8th on the Straits/Bardsey. The forecast currently looks great and warm too! Anyone else out next week?

Johnny

So

Here's the plan

Weather looks ok Saturday and even possibly sunny on Sunday

So

Get up there on saturday and do a bit of fettling

Get the rib on the water for a play and make sure everything is ok.

If all ok boatwise and weather wise:

Sunday: On the water for 9.00

Back by 1-2.00ish

Pack up

Go home!

Adam and Hayley, if the weather is good on Saturday I may launch.

Not sure if it's already been mentioned and if it's any use to you but there is a lot of people launching the following weekend

Hi wackywoody.

Sorry. Didn't know there was anything on the following weekend but we can't make that.

If you're about on this sat/sun then that'd be great.

18th not the 19th

Chaps, We can only make the 18th now (cat sitting problems). But it's still set up if others want to do the 19th

Bring the cat with you.....................

Not on the boat I meant drop it off at this kennel / cattery

http://www.bodrwnsiwnvets.co.uk/kennels/Kennels.htm

We have put our dog in there several times and I can vouch for them!

WTF is it with you "Cat Guys?"
Matt h...AJ...ect???
What the Hell you got Cat flaps for!!!???
Just ask yourself how long you'd last with Tiddles.....if we're shrunk to the size of a Mouse and ran across the Floor!
.......At least if you were given a "Bull Horn"... a Dog would still do as he was told
