I'd like to see some Sea

I was thinking of keeping the mainland on my Port side but seriously I'm looking for a straight lineroute where possible so I don't want to go Coast hugging and in and out of the firths. Obviously my route is also weather dependant which I'm starting to check out now.

cheers stu

Where are you stopping in Aberdeen? Nothing much here to tie up to unless a supply vessel lifts you up. No slip either. Nearest places are Stonehaven harbour to the south or Peterhead marina to the north.

Take not of Anstuther Harbour its the nearest the the entrance to the Firth of Forth and will offer some shelter if the weather is bad, there are moorings which have restricted access dependant on tide but you can stick ur nose into the outer harbour in most tide states except spring LW so will offer refuge. As for diesel im not so sure but depending on when ur in the area we could maybe help u out with jerry cans and a car.

Thanks. I've launched the boat in Amble now and am sea trialing and waiting on weather. I've started doing the planning and it not quite as far as I envisaged, which means I may not need dieseL.

I've bought a pretty cool pilotage bok which is helpful but you can't beat local knowledge.

Jambo I did not get your email I am offshorestu@live.co.uk

The Supply Vessel lift might be an optinon. I have a few buddies on a few ships so it could possibly happen. Failing that I guess its a HIAB Truck

Cheers
Stu

Arbroath would be worth stopping at - nice little harbour. There's a great chipper a stone's throw from the pontoons too. http://www.angusahead.com/AngusListi...rbour214_O.asp
