Hi took the rib from dartmouth to Falmouth last thursday great weather there in well under 2 hours

Sailed the rib back from Falmouth to Dartmouth yesterday. The sea was only forecast as "moderate" but it was more like at times and took twice as long.

Was planning to sail the rib over to Southampton today to meet you in the morning. But no one feels up to it after yesterday so I'm afraid we won't be there...sorry

Last minute details -
As per previous years we'll use Floptilla as the callsign.
VHF 72 for chit-chat.
My mobile in case of any last minute changes - 07840 975807.

Should be in Alderney between 13.30 and 14.00.
Let's hope for no fog this year!

Trevor

No fog predicted, just 2-3 ft swell instead.

Final weather update...

... And for the first time some actuals rather than vague predictions

Southampton:

Little cloud, visibility good, 11C dew point 10C. 1017hPa and holding steady. Wind 6kn from the NNE.

Alderney:

Some cloud, vis 8nm, 14C dew point 13C. 1016mPh and steady. Wind 9kn from the NE.

Mid-channel is a bit windier and warm, but the dew point is lower so any fog risk there is would be lower than the Alderney side.

There are several fronts around, but the pressures are all well above 1000mPh.

Good trip all, see you in a few hours!
