I'm 95% sure all the 585's will be filling at Braye as well as I think they have 90 Litre tanks.

We've never had any problems with fuel from Braye - unless that is you forget to refuel at high tide and there's no water left in the harbour when you do remember!
Ok. If I fill full here and then go all the way up in one go I'm not sure that I will have enough fuel to get round the island and then to Guernsey but if I stopped at Jersey or even Dielette en route then I would do. Depends on the weather on Friday really. I suppose I could just put 50 or 60 in at Braye and then fill up properly in Guernsey... This is made even more complicated by the 1.25 exchange rate making the CIs not quite as differentially attractive as usual...

Went out for a run today, conditions were choppier than expected, wind definitely force 4. But then I don't suppose they have any bearing on Alderney conditions because I'm even further away than the rest of you!

It would be really helpful if we could have an idea of how much petrol everyone would like and when would suit for refuelling. Low water on Friday is at about 15.15 so Saturday morning may be best. We are looking forward to seeing you all!

No one comes here for the exchange rate

Have you caught up with Erintini to see what they are doing? Perhaps meeting up with them in Gorey would fit in nicely.

Looks like we'll be leaving Jersey sometime Friday afternoon. I haven't decided yet whether to move the boat to an all tide mooring so we can leave mid afternoon or wait 'til it floats and leave about 1800hrs. Whichever way, I hope it's a bit better than it looks outside my window right now

Having just flown over all the islands I can confirm the sea state is moderate. There is enough of a breeze at the moment to make sailing exciting.

After one of the Manche race boats hit a rock and sank Monday, just heard another one has dismasted.

Tender and engine on board, camping kit onboard, route planned...all set to go! Just can't decide when...75nm...conservatively at 20 knts if it is hard going = 3.75 hours. Which, if I wish to arrive before 13:00 means leaving at 9:15...which means getting up early....

And that's before even thinking about the hours difference..
