Hi Jason
It would be great if you could make it.
Let's see if anyone else is up for a Saturday crossing. If the weather's bad for Friday but forecast to be much better Saturday then we'll push back our crossing to Saturday - but we won't know this until probably the Wednesday of the week we hope to go.
Trev

Who is heading back on the 22nd? As I wouldn't mind traveling back with a bigger boat
How much fuel are you estimating to use?

My 2 stroke burns around 0.8 L per NM. However, fully loaded with camping kit and fuel I would do the calculation based on 1.0 L per NM so I would be taking 3 x 25L tanks and one more as a back up.

Trevor, have you had any more thoughts about dining at Rea's (The Moorings) on the Saturday?

If not, let me know if you need and leg work doing. By leg work I mean drinking beer, obviously.

Hi Martin
Yes - I think that dining at Rea's for Saturday night will probably be a good plan.
As ever - getting people to commit until a few days before we leave will be a challenge - but hopefully Rea will understand this.
So - plans would be:
Friday - Arrive in the afternoon - Refreshments at the Yacht Club
Friday Evening - probably Fish and Chips as usual at the Bray Chippy.
Saturday - see what the weather's doing but probably do a bit of boating1
Saturday evening - 2-Course dinner at Rae's
Sunday - Some head for home, others on down to the other Channel Islands.

Excellent

HRH The Prince of Wales is touring the island on the Friday from late morning to mid afternoon, and a half holiday has been declared so you may find some places shut when you first arrive.

I am tied up with that and other work until the evening, but look forward to catching up at the chippy!

That must be a real pain - HRH turns up and he finds everything closed!
