Ahh just been informed that its the festival that weekend .
So looking at 20th and 21st
Dates are subject to weather but can alway's do in July or August or September.
Will try and match boats so a buddy system exists .
Looks like 3 boats so far

Malthouse could meet us and suggest campsites or b and b and of course fuel arrangements .
Tim

Mainbrayce - Alderney

Tim

Unless the word has yet to get out, Mainbrayce has new owners and we are working closely with the States of Alderney and the Harbour Office to be as useful as possible. Diesel is already duty free and we are working hard to supply petrol to the Inner Harbour, but as yet cannot promise it to be duty free, but it will be cheaper than the UK.

If you would like to meet some good local skippers who could show you some interesting inshore passages please advise, as we have spoken to a few who would be OK to help.

Also check out the new Tourist website as there are accomodation deals to be had.

Anyway, hope to see you in the summer, and look up Mainbrayce on Google.

Cheers

Rupert

Tim,

We are seriously interested. Obviously, subject to weather conditions and there being sufficient of us to make it a safe passage.

We would probably go for a B&B deal, if there was something attractive.

Hi Tony
Great will chat about it on Friday when we meet up.
Malthouse and Mainbrayce can help out with b and b and campsites for the more hardy bunch .
Fuel will need to be sourced the dates are flexible due to weather windows so will need to decide some alternative dates in July , August and September.
All welcome two clients are already coming and possibly a third , there is no charge other than you booking your accomodation and fuel costs .
Cheers Tim

Tim

I'm interested subject to work, will only know nearer the time though...

This might make that weekend busy as well...

"Mainbrayce along with other local organisations is planning an open race/rally for cruising yachts over the summer solstice weekend (20/21st June). There will be a party and prize giving afterwoulds for the more adventurous! Please e-mail your interest as we need to limit the number of entrants. "

Water-taxi

We are just waiting for the Harbourmaster go ahead, health and safety etc. But from March onwards there will be an ad hoc service etc.

As for the weekend of the 20th-21st June, its a solstice race for yachts but the Harbour master is limiting the sailing yachts to 30, so there will be space for ribs and there will be a beach barbecue, and a sponsor so this may tempt!

Rupert

Hi Tim, hows it going?

Not been to Alderney in a RIB before, could be up for it but I would need to squeeze in on another boat if someone had room/wanted company as I don't think I would take mine

Mr Nikon and friends would of course accompany me

We have a wide choice of moorings here Biff, all of them swinging!

One of the lifeboat crew has a B&B, if you let me know numbers I can see if he is in the mood for a nice RIB.net deal for you.
