Don't worry, you can make up for it at tonight's bunker party! A 3am finish before an early morning RIB cruise should be just what your after to test your youthful resilience to destruction.

That nice big pressure has lost the battle against the more northerly low and I suspect the weather will be a bit of a mixed bag all weekend, but with nothing greater than a 4 and nothing wetter than drizzle.

If guys arrive early evening you will find us up in town waiting to pick up our flaming brands for the pre-bonfire procession. If you are really late then you can always use the firework display as a guiding light.

15 gusting to 19 here. Would be a bit lumpy out there. Think we might be postponing this one unless it calms down some.

I'll have to pull out as well unfortunately. No one wants to come with me and those seas are a bit rough for my little boat. Pity though, I was looking forward to the Casquets; we'll have to try again sometime.

Alderney Firework Display

Well for those of you who couldn't make it, the firework display and huge bonfire that you could have seen from Jersey, was very impressive from the harbour.

Weather Sat was fine, and the crossing to England Sunday flat calm.
