The latest weather forecast is giving winds of 6 to 12 knots from the west and north, it is not yet close enough to be super-reliable but at least it is saying the right things for now.

There is a low pressure that has been sat under Greenland for a little while, if that stays away then it should be ideal conditions.

We could pile into a couple of the larger ribs depending on how many takers, maybe even return south-about Alderney for more photo opportunities.

We squeezed 15 people on Martini on the last floptilla though I'm not sure she would've planed with that many

Where's that?! Think I'd have to deflate my tubes to get in there!

BBQ menu sounds awesome, probably worth getting a profeshunel in for that many punters, bit unfair to burden 1 or 2 of us with the cooking.

PS looks like I'll be on my own, Mel can't get friday off.

It is round the back of Florains, the fort nearest the lighthouse.

Nobody in their right mind would contemplate taking a boat through the gap, but I was after a killer photo.

I shall go back and get the same pic at low tide, with a zoom lens!

You'll have an unfair advantage for the canonball run with this much practice at all the inshore passages.

However, I think that would look even better with a whole convoy of boats lined up to pass through.

BBQ sounds excellent.

Great. I have asked Krys from the Little Rock Cafe to start digging spuds in preparation.

The Chippy have asked for a pre-order, so I shall get a clip board out for everyone to put their mark on during the course of Friday afternoon. Though I suspect it will be chilli crabcakes all round.

Don't forget that little addendum on any pre-order 'subject to weather' just in case Windfinder is right!

Sounds good.

Low water slacks are at about 4pm, so if the conditions on the day permit it might be interesting to head out with the ebb tide and run round the south of the island. Take in Chicago Pier, the Ganets on Garden Rock, Puffins on Burhou, More Ganets on Ortac and arrive at Casquettes at about 4. Then ride the start of the flood up through the Swinge.

Edit: If there is a bit of wind on the day then either the outbound or return legs could include some white water rafting.

Just had a phone call from Jim, a couple of wether sites are showing 24mph Westerlies for Thurs, backing to 12mph on Fri. That'll give us a lumping great swell on the starboard beam.
