We've just got back from a great long weekend - After the UK contingent left on Sunday morning we had a fantastic lunch in France, another lovely evening in Alderney, and on Monday went to Sark (via the 80p per litre fuel stop in Guernsey) and camped with Gotchiguy in a very quiet (but windy) campsite overlooking our boats on Sark before running back today on our own.
The return cross channel run was OK, but a bit lumpy for the last 10 miles or so and as we came round St Catherine's on the IOW so we stopped off at Ventnor for afternoon tea to give ourselves a break.
Thanks all for such a good time - especially to Tim for organising it from the UK side and Martin and Keith for the Alderney hospitality and the guided tours of the Island - both by water and land!
Trev, Pam and Rick.
Paul giving Rick a ride on the Jetski to Alderney for the last 10 miles (Thanks Paul - it made Rick's day!)
Lunch in France,
Getting ready to leave Alderney,
"Into the Red" lining up to go throught the gap between Sark and Brecqhou,
