Weather is looking good off Bournemouth Pier and in Poole Harbour this morning according to the webcams albeit a tad misty, will be happy if it's like this tomorrow morning for our run from Poole :-)

Can't ask for much flatter conditions: just need the grey skies to roll away!

Here's the latest and (in the absence of any major amendments) last list of those attending.

See you all tomorrow!

Thanks for organising David, quite a crowd in the end.

Looking forward to tomorrow, pleasant morning brushing the cobwebs off the boat, running the engine up, and putting her name on the console.

Now off to witness the Cherry & Whites beat the Warriors in a local derby followed by a curry...good day!

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news- but its pea soup out there tonight and looks like it's going to hang around.

I attempted a launch in similar conditions last week and ended up drinking coffee in the local cafe waiting for it to clear.

I'll be making my decision in the morning.

Fingers crossed.

The Met Office Coastal Forecast is showing F1-3 winds with 'Good' visibility all day tomorrow for The Solent and Christchurch Bay. Even East of Selsey Bill, the visibility is 'Moderate'. Light rain is given as a possibility (why is the Met Office always so pessimistic?) but I think we'll be unlucky if any of us is caught.... the forecast is basically the same as today which, while cloudy in Christchurch/Bournemouth and Poole, was dry all day apart from 30mins and not too cold.

CH8 for the Poole contingent; my fixed VHF is not working (rotted co-ax as well as water ingress in the unit) but have two handhelds and will be on CH08 and monitoring CH16 on both.

See you all tomorrow.

David

The fog in Poole Harbour has cleared quite a bit in the last hour. Visibility here is 1.5nm perhaps more.
