MrT,
longjohn and the rest of us are happy to cruise at 25-30kts so it would be fine if you fancy joining us (we're in no hurry and are happy to be patient). If the weather is good, Stuart1975 (who lives in Bournemouth) may also launch at Baiter rather than Lymington. OscarGuitar, cgf10 and we are based at Parkstone Bay Marina so will be launching from there and passing Baiter as we leave. With neap tides on the day, we can launch and return at any time, although with low tide Poole at 12.18, the earlier we get out the better. We are therefore planning to launch around 10.45 with a view to leaving by 11.00 and should, therefore, be off Baiter around 11.05. We will then RV with longjohn off RMYC by 11.10 or just after. That should get us to Yarmouth around opening time (12.00) but allows for slippage to the scheduled arrival time of 12.30. Let me know if you're definitely launching at Baiter and we'll be sure to RV with you. Suggest CH08 for comms and that your boat be called 'No Name' for such purposes (I assume that you have a VHF).

That's great David thanks, I'll definitely launch at Baiter in that case and look out for you just after 11.

I have a fixed VHF so CH08 it is and my mobile is 07831 311961 for your records just in case.

'Lomac Rib' or 'MrT' might be a better call sign please as i'm more likely to pick up on it.

Looking forward to it already and let's hope for decent
Conditions :-)

Cheers Paul

Hi Jim!

Welcome aboard! You would be more than welcome to join us. There are a number of us meeting at Calshot afloat around 11am near the main slip if you wanted to meet up with us there?

I'll be in Bystander. Think our group maybe on CH 72.

See you Sunday!

Chris

The Wheatsheaf and Yarmouth Harbour authorities have now been notified on the basis of the latest attached list. Updates and amendments can still be made to it: just let me know!

All weather sites seem to be showing light westerly or north-westerly winds and no rain for Sunday, although the amount of cloud cover and sunshine varies according to which you view. Either way, it looks like being a good (if rather cold) day for boating!

Hi Chris,

Quick update (I've also updated my profile). I'm now driving a 8.5m Yellow Scorpion with 6 onboard and still coming out of Chichester. Boat name is "SuperTonic".

Thanks

Matthew

Another latecomer here (sorry!), not long been on the forum so will be good to meet some of you

Boat name is "JJ", is a XS 7m, will just be myself on board, coming from Southampton (Saxon Wharf)

Happy to meet others that are local in the Itchen/Hamble or make my own way there

See you Sunday!

We will try to leave Southampton Drystack 10.30 prompt and meet you off Calshot for 11 (ish). Will call you on CH 72 as we clear the mouth of the Itchen to let you know we are on our way.

Thanks all for the updates and I attach a further list which (I hope!) incorporates them all. I'll phone the pub again this evening to update them on numbers so let me know of any additional participants/amendments asap. In the meantime, the forecast remains good with no rain and light winds (although the direction of the latter seems to have now become easterly/north easterly).
