Perhaps we should move to the second Sunday in 2106 otherwise we do not get the numbers

Will the weather be better?

I cant see myself making it this year, weather looks too pants on sunday, I don't mind the cold but with that wind it would make the journey a pain.

Yarmouth Harbour authorities advised of up to thirty boats on Sunday and they are happy to receive us. Pub also warned of between nil and sixty persons for whom they are happy to reserve places but need to know final numbers on Saturday. Today's forecast for Sunday is better than yesterday's (wind speed down by 10mph so that it more or less matches Tuesday's weather when I made the same return crossing). Let us see what develops.....

In the meantime, here's a revised List of Participants. As before let me know of any errors or changes needed. Here's hoping for Sunday!

Checking the weather forecast Sunday 10th January looks good. I am in favour of changing the date due to the very bad weather conditions this Sunday coming.

Anyone else in favour of this change

I think this is a sensible decision considering the forecast for this weekend.

As I only need to do the short crossing from Lymington to Yarmouth, and having experienced the Solent in most of its moods, I am confident that I could make it across in the conditions forecast. Would I want to, some and some Would my passengers want to, definitely not.
I have had some very pleasant meetings in that walled garden, but of course we would have to be inside given the forecast. Good, but maybe not quite as good as the outside option?
Will the forecast conditions put off some potential attendees? I would be very surprised if it did not.
So while the forecasts of late have been less than spot on, and the 10th allows plenty of time for the forecast to do a 180, on balance, my vote would be a change of date to Jan 10th.
