Simon, thanks for the advice. It would be good to go out with you again for some more pointers / help sometime.

I will keep an eye on the forecast and err on the side of caution.

Cheers.

[QUOTE=Trimix;590371]Simon, thanks for the advice. It would be good to go out with you again for some more pointers / help sometime.

The long range forecast has been very inconsistent other than indicating a small break at some stage during the weekend 4/5th. Currently Sunday looks to be the best day in the whole period - and with really light wind in comparison to what we have had. The high tide at Lymington today was exceptional and conditions in the spring tide pretty rough. However the 5th is still a way off and I am more confident there will be a short lull around that period.

I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for the lull.

Just sitting in the sunshine on my boat getting it ready for Sunday, wishing it was in the water and not on my drive. Looks like I am going to tow it to Lymington ,what time do people intend to launch and leave Lymington so I can plan my journey down, should take just over two hours.
Hopefully see you all Sunday

I'll be aiming for lym slip for about 11.15 ish on the basis it's a quick blast to yarmouth, but want to make the most so an hour's worth of fun in getting there for 12.30.

Based on looking at the weather forecasting apps / websites and grib files i have decided I'm going to pass on Sundays Nacho run. The lull appears to be coming in earlier than originally predicted so Saturday may be nice, but Sunday afternoon is starting to look very iffy for me in a 4m rib.

Hope you all have a good trip and enjoy the Nachos.

Chris

I'll be out whatever the weather, if I don't do the nacho run I'll still be on the island checking my house out

I keep looking, but it keeps changing. Looks pants now, so I will decide tomorrow I think. I can always go to the boat show instead.

Launch in Lym - easy hop in company. Failing that come and try the Protector!
