3 Island Hop - Inchkeith, Inchmickery & Inchcolm - 1st June 2013

Hi All,

RYA Scotland Powerboat Committee, are planning to organise a cruise on the 1st June 2013.

The plan is to muster at Granton harbour - details to be confirmed..

High Water is 0900 hrs, so a Port Edgar Launch etc is very do able.

We are planning to land InchKeith and explore, before heading to other islands, then heading into Aberdour Boat Club - where we are planning to hold a BBQ (small charge) before the fleet returns to own ports for the evening tides.

The BBQ at night will be open, to friends and family so if you can't make it by boat join in the fun at night - of course you could leave your boat at Aberdour overnight if you choose.

Hopefully you all can make this, and show that us Scot's can hold wee trips too.

Let me know your thoughts and if you can attend so we can start getting this advertised properly.

We are looking to something similar on the Clyde, if anybody want to help us with plan and dates let me know. Maybe something similar to Ralfs solo trip earlier in month!

We also have plans for a meet at Findhorn /Moray as well, and of course attending ERR in May.

Scott
On behalf of RYA Scotland Powerboat

Sounds good to me

Just put my RIB at Port Edgar, so i'm up for this trip.
Going to try and get round Inchcolm this weekend coming (12th), maybe round Oxcars, peek into Granton then back up to PE via Cramond.

welcome on board - just don't cut in between Cramond island and land - unless you know where the gap is in the anti-submarine defence...

No worries - have gone windsurfing out of there many times in the past - hit a few rocks sadly, otherwise all good. That said, also hit a few rocks around Inchcolm too, but that's another story.

Think i emailed you earlier today about VHF courses also. Hope to get back to you asap about that :-)

5 boats are showing interest now, we can offer craning in at Granton and use of Royal Forth YC slip too, and have use if the facilities at RFYC for pit stop and food in morning before event.

BBQ at Aberdour cost will be £6 per person , if you want to join by Land feel free.

I have boats leaving Aberdour , Granton and Port Edgar so far.

Regards

Scott

I'm a maybe.

Usually do the 70Wild miles rescue that weekend, so it's booked into the calendar but not sure if it's happening or not this year....

If not I'll be free!
