The pre-boat jumble thefts have begun!

No theft as such, but my parents yacht got broken into one evening this week on the river stour in Christchurch. Nothing stolen as it was completely stripped out of everything for the winter, just a few tools stolen, although they damaged the wash boards on entry.
Just a word of warning as Christchurch is not far from Poole, and Lymington, where I know some of you keep your boats. Im guessing they are after electrical equipment etc as the boat jumbles are coming up. Nothing compared to rouge waves loss, i just recommend you disconnect your gps's etc and take them home, if your boat is on a mooring or in a yard.

Alex

Yeah, sorry to hear that Tim, im at Uni in Nottingham at the moment so I don't really know the full details, but apparently the police are checking the boat for finger prints -doubt they will find any. The boat was being wintered afloat so most of the interior was stripped out, so there was nothing to steal, although the annoying bit is the damage on entry.

Hope you sort yours out,

Alex
