Stolen Outboards from secure storage in Littlehampton/Yapton

Hi All

Beware if you have a boat stored in secure storage in Littlehampton/Yapton area of West Sussex. I visited my Rib this afternoon to find that my Blue ex RNLI Evinrude 70 hp and Mariner 2.5 hp outboard engines have been stolen along with a 40hp of my neighbouring plot at the storage site.

They gained entry at the back of the site not covered by cctv and cut down a 6 x 6 of gavanised fencing enough to make their getaway! Please keep an eye out for my engines. The Evinrude still has the RNLI number ISE 70 37.03 on the leg.

Thanks

Pete

Sorry to hear that.

I live that way and was looking to put my hard-boat in secure storage - would it be anywhere I might know, and can avoid? (I can guess!)

How many people would it have taken to shift that 70?

Hi. The 2.5 hp is a mariner 2 stroke, dont have serial number to hand but the engine is quite distinctived as the tiller arm was broken and missing before the theft!

Another sign on the Evinrude 70 , the bottom of the tail end was grinded down an inch and looks square and has my Worthing postcode scribed on the engine.

Cheers

Pete

You might want to send the location by PM and edit your last post before every pikey in the land reads it

Done it for you.

Please don't give out storage site details and the way to break in...

Sounds like the same gang that has just hit North Wales, Pwllheli area this weekend! Good luck to them when they are eventually caught... The court will be busy...
