Hi,

from bitter experience my advice is to make sure you have good insurance, always ring/email your broker if you are moving your rib or putting it on a mooring while on holiday, and make sure you comply with the small print, such as wheel clamps and engine bolts. We were very lucky when our Honda 150hp was stolen, we had a full service history to prove it's condition, and had emailed the broker to let them know where the boat was and why, made life a whole lot easier with the loss adjuster! In the end the insurance replaced the engine like for like with another brand new Honda 150, so apart from the grief we didn't do too bad, especially compared to how some come out of it!!

Chris.
