Beautiful. I am jealous. I'm weeks away from launching (and never seem to get closer). Those Mercs look fast standing still.

The props are about one or two inches too low, I think.

sounds like you have a issue with mounting like you are eluding to. the engines are turning the right RPM and you should not have more gear than me. and im getting 47kn. with my boat running REV4 14 5/8 x 19. your cavitation plate in line with the hull directly fwd of each engine?

The boat sits a bit too low and the water almost touch the rims of the elephant trunks.
The cavitation plates .... Looked inline , but I will check when I am back to the boat.

my ride

I have about 2" between my aft sponsors and the water. in the pictures you have the boat looks to sit well.

I would recommend a pair of Detwiler Jack plates don't get more than 4" setback as this will make your stern sit lower if you exceed 4". you can also play with the plates to find the sweet spot.

Ryan,
Thank you very much for your advice. I will report on the results here after I have tried the jack plates or changed the holes.

What hole are the engines mounted in now? With the single engine I am in the second to bottom to get the cav plate even with the hull.

Hi Jason. It is a very good question. .. ... And I wished I'd had the answer. The extension bracket had holes for a single engine installation. The yard welded them and drilled a new set of holes for my twin motors. It was done when I was away working. I think that I will be getting some jack plates, maybe manual.
And I will play with the engines height.

Yevgeny
