I kind of liked it on that boat.
Puts the weight more in the middle;lots of grab
handles to hold on to and a nice wide stable platform for the radar/deck lighting etc.
Wouldn't like it at the helm standing up though; catch a bad wave and could end up going backwards and "nutting it"
cheers Dal

It's more of a radar arch than an A frame. I like it. Which yacht club does that burgee represent?

The radar frame is designed to fold forward to allow the boat to be kept in a davit. The boat needed to be low profile to fit. It would be a far better design to have the frame aft at the transom. An aft frame experiences less motion, and less stress on the frame, radar etc. The midships frame design was the only approach.

Des,
first one is right up the road from me
I have kept an eye on some of these in the past and are amazed at the prices they fetch.
(even the ones beat to heck complete with shell holes in them.)
Add to that the cost of a new set of Zodiac tubes and engine and note xactly cheap
Seems they are in such short supply ;they get bid on from all over the country.
Lets have a guess at what she will fetch!
cheers dal

I am watching that one also. Starts 23rd June. I going to bet it will go for $10k. I already have a quote for tubes.

Because it's still somewhat of a novelty to see RIBs out in the Ocean here.(especially orange ones!) Usually Coast Guard are the only ones, so usually brings a smile and they always come over to check me out.
I dont mind as gives me a chance of a shot.
Shortly after this, they contacted me and asked for the shot.So they can look and smile all they want
cheers Dal
