Visitors are welcome at any time (especially those who will 1. come out in my boat, 2. Have their own boat).

We do hire the house out but only to people who we know (like those on Ribnet).

Hi Keith,

we have just spent a couple of weeks in Scotland at Glenlivett bit of a mistake but it was booked before we got the boat. Should have gone to the West Coast i think. It was our first time in scotland apart from a trip to Edinburgh a few years ago. Fell completley in love with the place. its a fair drive for us (560 miles one way) so it is not somewhere we can visit very often

Hmmm, brings back a few memories of camping in Scotland!

A few years ago, Louise and I camped near to Bridge of Orchy near Glen Coe. We thought it would be a good palce to camp as there were a few other tents close by. But when we woke up in the morning, the tent was full of the little buggers. When we breathed in, we breathed in midges, and as we exhaled, we exhaled midges

So we just leapt out of the tent, rolled it up with the sleeping bags and everything inside, jumped into the car and drove with the windows open all the way to Ballahulish.

Yuch. Never camp anywhere near a peat bog!

Peat bog or not, they'll still come and get you. If you are upwind of them, they'll travel miles over the sea to find you. However, if there's a breeze you will be safe.

1. Good cruising waters at the bottom of the garden
2. Only about 60 miles to the west coast if you want a bit of variety
3. NO MIDGIES
