I s'pose it must work like an autogyro.
Either that or it is delivering bits for the new IOW wind farm.

That may have been a Walker Wingsail. I did some work for them back in the 80s when they were based in Hamble.
It was very efficent, but the rig kept falling down. They did not have the composit mast technology sorted back then.

It looks as if they are now in Plymouth.

That may have been a Walker Wingsail. I did some work for them back in the 80s when they were based in Hamble.

Sorry to correct you Solent Ranger, but that boat is actually moored in the Queen Elizabeth II marina. Victoria is the visitors.

Only ever seen the boat out once, was going no where quickly!!

Yes, I realised my error a bit later. I seem to visit all the marinas on Tuesday morning looking for the boat I was to help deliver back.

It was'nt a rib I was bringing back, but at the same time as we left so was a cabin Ribtech with twin Verado's (275's) on the back. It was for sale and I think was going out on a seatrial
