Really like the long pole idea, some great effects created there! Might make my own for next year!

Cheers glad you enjoyed them.

@ gotchiguy, the pole is a telescopic feather banner pole, very light but also a bit to bendy at the same time. photo below.

I also just bought a gopro suction cup mount, nice bit of kit, plan on mounting it on top of the motor facing forwards and backwards, and also on the front of the nose cone, both facing back down the boat, and also underneath looking back through the tunnel hull, that could create a few cool clips especially getting airborne.

Think for underneath the nose cone I will tie it off with a bit of dacron cord, just in case it cops a solid hit!

Thanks
Luke

Cheers guys!

A guy in Aus suggested putting the suction cup under the hull, I sat there last night and watched a 5 minute clip fascinated at what a thundercat looks like underneath at speed, including how much the prop comes out of the water, amazing footage also noticed black marks under the hull, time for a clean me thinks. Photos below.

Unfortunately it was high tide so could not check it out in the surf, this is a must do for next time.

Here are some other shots from the suction cup mount

The potential for surf footage is excellent from both front and back, and underneath.

The suction cup mount does not budge and it did get choppy (check the photo of us heading out the hawkesbury we got caught off guard on this shot, only had one foot in the footstrap.

Ill throw a bit of footage together next few days, nothing special, but food for thought for next time out!

Luke.
