Was a good day, sun was shining (most of the time). There were a few ribs and keel boats out watching.
Think that is the only Vulcan that is airworthy - I'm sure someone can confirm. It is an amazing sight and sound when the 4 Olympus engines open up as it climbs away from you.
The British and Canadian Lancasters were on the bill too but I believe there was poor weather at their base that stopped them taking off.

Saw it last year at Clacton airshow. It even got my young daughters excited about aviation and engineering. Possibly only because I was jumping up and down like an excited fool.

Ahh I see, it's just that I was and saw it too late to photo it. I was snapping the game as a photographer and eyes were on the ball and not on the sky till too late.

Apparently they flew over Holme Moss, but it wasn't very spectacular. High up & not very clear.

Accompanied by a couple of fighters the two Lancasters flew overhead on their way to Airbourne a few weeks ago. I couldn't help wondering what it must have sounded like with hundreds of them on their way across the channel.

The sound of a Merlin always sends a tingle down my spine (a sign of a true Brit!)

We were in London a few years ago for a wedding & stayed over the weekend. Sunday morning I was up & about early doors & walking along Park Lane. The city was still & quiet apart from.....a lone Spitfire doing aerobatics over Hyde Park, the sound was incredible & I still get goosebumps thinking about it, magic.
