Tubing on the Bay

Got the tube out for the first time this year and took the boys out on the Bay.
Then while the boys dried out ,I got chance to zip around while Mom took the photos.
No waves to jump; but an island in the Bay does provide a good place to get some shots from.
cheers Dal

UK expensive!!!!!

Sorry, meant the Missus!
Don't know about being over here too long though!
Came back for a quick visit to the UK the other week and with damn speed cameras everywhere ,the price off gas (oops petrol) and the price of fish n'chips ;I dont know how you lot afford it!!
They must be paying you better wages than when I was a poor teacher in Plymouth
Together with the fact it snowed in the Midlands the last week (all be it a short flurry ) I think i will stick to San Diego.
(Did really enjoy a hot Pork sandwich at the "Greedy Pig" though)
cheers Dal

Loved the pics Darrall! Jamie looks happy on the "shark" ringo.....will give THAT a go when we next visit, but what happened to Big Bertha?! Hey, maybe I'll manage a ringo ride WITHOUT falling in next time! At least your water's warm!

Still doesn't beat last Friday (my **th birthday!!)....took the RIB to the Folly on the IOWight (great lunch!) and managed to leave Mike on the pontoon while I drifted down river...very quickly! Well, he was faffing about with all the rope thingeys and I didn't listen to the "hang on" bit!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh...and I couldn't start the engine....!!! A Basil Fawlty moment!! River taxi to the rescue (thank you...I didn't get your name!). Mike thought I'd left him having committed the ULTIMATE marital sin...taken CUSTODY of the RIB!

We knew the engine service was overdue!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Being done this week!

Ju !

Olly, yes it floats;its the polypropolyne??? (cheap braided stuff). With a float on the towing bridle also.(Webbing with snap hooks and a sliding D ring)

Hightower; boat seems to go great with the 90HP.Not sure of top speed yet (as only pitot tube gauge.)But just ordered Humminbird fishfinder/GPS; due this week so will be able to get more accurate performance figure.
Hope to get installed by next weekends trip out, so will let you know.
RichL tried her out on his visit here and think was impressed(especially considering its not a top line model ) Think he termed it "Frisky"or the like.
But lots of fun for a multitude of uses.
cheers Dal

Thanks guys (typical American lingo!)
Seems the coastguard gets most fidgetty when I point a camera lens at sensative issues(Nuclear subs/missile frigates etc) So when I have the family on board they think I'm pretty harmless!!
(Must admit I sort of missed the Coastguard boats! )Getting to know a few of them !
They just towed in ,an Old Russian sub to the bay ,which I mean to check out next week;So sure I will get some attention from them soon;
cheers Dal

Actually, broke my sunglasses, so had to bring out the goggles.

Ben says Hi, and when are you coming back to play?
