Trip to Craighouse was an aborted trip to Colonsay. Through the Coryvreckan and confronted with a 2 to 3 metre swell

so doubled back and came down the east shore of Jura to Craighouse. Saw a Golden Eagle and two Sea Eagles in the space of 20 mins.

Think we may have passed you, went from Ardfern out to Tobermory through Easdale
back to Oban and then back through Easdale, some lively swells, hope you all got back safely

Got back to Ardfern with no issues. Sound of Jura wasn't too bad.

May have missed you as torrential rain and poor vis when we left this morning. Heading off tomorrow for Gigha around 10.00am ish. Forecast looks a lot better.

Was certainly impressed with some of the little islands I never knew existed. We're normally further north.
I did take a drive to Tayvalich a couple of weeks ago to have a look at the facilities.
The pontoon looked like a bit of a no-go zone though. There were only two berths that weren't reserved for the ferry or for "vessels over 8mtrs" and both of those were completely "rammed" with yacht tenders and dingys and there didn't look there was anywhere a car/trailer could be left if you launched from there.

Bit of a shame as there's obviously quite a lot of good ribbing around the area.

Yes it can be busy but there's always room. You could have picked up a mooring. Pity I didn't know you were interested as I would have given you my mooring as I'm not up there at moment. I could have got you parking. J

Tango, there is usually parking available along at the village hall (pay in the honesty box). It's a five minute walk. We've not made it there this year yet, but have never had a problem finding somewhere to pop the boat either for an hour or a night. If you pop a mile over the hill then you can launch direct into the sound of Jura too.

I had a look along there but is there not a sign that says "no boat trailers" at that car park.

The launch site sounds interesting.

You are correct LT there's an ongoing problem with rouge Parkers from the ferry and people leaving trailers for weeks so the local folks are regulating it a bit. The only interesting thing about the slip is its shallow. If your ever going again pm me for a chat. J

No immediate plans to be back there but no doubt will be some time in the future.

No problems. The parking is becoming a problem but hopefully we can find you something. Do you camp of hire a caravan?
