Jono,

So you teach the course in conditions like that at night? excellent! I'm building up my experience at the moment and plan to do my advanced mid to late 2006.

Remember for the advanced you must have the SRC/VHF and a First Aid Certificate, Navigation up to Day Skipper Theory Standard and powerboat handling up to the standard to the Intermediate course.
The minimum sea miles/hours only apply to the Advanced powerboat MCA/Dtp examination for Commercial Endorsement.

If I had known I would have gone straight for the advanced - still I DID have fun!!!

YOU try doing 60 miles in a 3.1 in a chop - you learn far more than you would in a 9m with a cabin!!!

in all fairness you would not catch me doing a 60 mile trip in a 3.1, so hat off to you on that one....

i did the level 2 with jono and will look to miss out the intermediate and go to advanced once i have done the other bits like nav etc to get me up to speed, the instructor recommended would be ok to miss the intermediate based on boat skills, just need to prep up on the other aspects.

so not being a troll here as i have messaged jono on courses via pm or email and just wanted to throw a prompt in here as cash waiting if the course is cheap enough, got my reputation as scrooge to think of.....thanks eupa
