got the first service done today so the run in period is all done (first 20 hours)and i am ready to rock and roll, getting the valuation survey done on thursday and then we are nearly there.

unfortunately they dont have a printout of the engine information which is a real shame i must admit. Come on Pacer get the latest equipment.....

the opti flew thru the service with no alarms or glitchs whatsoever which is cool.

looking forward to meeting some of the rib net folks at the weekend.

If anyone is thinking of an opti as an engine choice i must say that i love them, very very pleased, I have been on a few friends boats with the other 200s available and i would choose opti over all of them given a choice so no regrets whatsover

shame the landy started to run rough when dropping the boat off for the service.....sounded like it was running on 4 cyls or even 3

tracking down a surveyor and also others trades that i have used is sometimes a bit tricky and it is always nice to know if they have done a good job for someone else. So if they do a good job for me at a good price then i share their details on here for others to benefit from or hopefully help them in their selection.

In the whole exercise of building out the boat i have been rather surprised and refreshed in that i have found suppliers that do a really good job, very reasonable price and the people are really nice too. some suppliers i went to were outragously expensive and i did not necessarily click with the individual i spoke with, personality stuff i know but it helps in decision making.

so if sharing this helps others in their selection of suppliers etc and they get a good job done as well then i am happy.

To your point i hope that everyone gets a good job from the companies i have recommended or if they dont that it is rectified quickly and painlessly, all i can pass on is my experience in dealing with the said company

mp3 or stereo players

was at ribex this weekend and was taken in by the rather nice stereo from Aquatic AV as i noticed most of the posh large ribs used them so ordered one up for mine. they are waterproof to some rating or other

I have had a lot of pms regarding my use of an mp3 player instead of a head unit but this weekend i will fit the new stereo and will have both so will be able to give a side by side comparison the stereo will have its own inputs into the amp as will the mp3 so it will give me a good idea of the difference which will be interesting

ordered thursday afternoon, arrived friday morning, coool
