Hi HH ..hey it will soon be time for our multi day Mull trip ..Im hoping for such light winds as I had at Arisaig

Hi Fenlander.. thanks for telling some of your story too. I can relate to it. My family wanted to spend our holidays in places like Blackpool and Scarbrough. I enjoyed them..but my heart was always in the highlands. Im making the most of it ... now Im in my golden years ..I hope you do too.
The cottage is in a lovely area ..its at the end of the single track road and its quite a busy road with the research factory and caravan site there .. but its still very peaceful.

Attached is day four ..not really a boating day but still part of my adventure. I have included it here as it gives some useful info on the area.

Tomorrow I will post the Loch Nevis trip.. technically its the most challenging for a small boat

Hi Badgerpig ..Im delighted you enjoyed the videos ..and hope you watch the next two days too.

Here is the map for day 5 ..a trip into Loch Nevis.

Its a long exposed trip from Arisaig (35 miles) in a wee boat .. with few places to land in Loch Nevis. The tide race at the narrows runs around 6-7 knots. I went through it but did not go to the head of the loch as soon .. the tide would turn and be fighting the wind.

I didnít want stuck above the narrows if the water turned white. Sometimes the sea lochs of Scotland can have rougher conditions than the sea due to steep glens funnelling the wind against strong tides.

And the video of the day

The final day ..which is a visit to the amazing Arisaig skerries will be posted tomorrow. Do come back to watch it if you have enjoyed the other days

Best regards
The Gurnard

Hi guys ..apologies on the Loch Nevis video. As you have realised ..although the soundtrack was by the same artist.. the record company was different.

Nowadays You Tube allow the use of music assuming you donít monetize it.. but some record companies donít allow it to play in the UK.

I will change the music and repost soon.

Ok guys ..I have changed the soundtrack to the same one I used on day two...not surprising.. the record company appears to allowed it.

( note now its ..Viewing restrictions ..none .. the last soundtrack was blocked in UK)

It means the choreography of video clips to music is slightly out ..and I had to shorten the Loch Nevis video by 20 seconds to fit..but hey..as they say .. the show must go on

Here it is this time ..unless I have boobed again

I promise I wont use this soundtrack again for the Skerries video tomorrow

I'm aware of that Dubrus

However ..it means little as You Tube don't own any copywrites. The original track I used was Ommadawn by Mike Oldfield.. its in the list you mention as allowed.. but MGM music still don't allow it.. its sometimes hit and miss. The best way is check for other you tube videos and see if the track you want to use is used by others
