"The Arrow" is born

After many weeks of hard work, we finnaly completed the first version of the Parker ARROW. 10METRE CABIN CRUISER powered by twin 300 hp Verados.
and fitted with the latest m121 with 2kw radar and in hull depth sounder from northstar and 721 VHF AND seaworthy audio system. The cabin is fitted with kitchen, sink ,toilet and webasto heater. The rib can also be fitted with twin qsd 4,2 litre 350 hp diesels. That will be the next model we make.

It looks very nice if you like cabin ribs............

Personally I don't like these cabin RIBs much as you lose so much deck space. How about a walkaroud design next - a bit like a luxury Botnia Targa???

I am sure it will be a success though - Scorpion do well enough with theirs.

Codders I was just thinking the same thing!
Looks all very nice, but why put tubes on it what are the doing to improve the boat?

Apart from some nice fendering, but then people put fenders around them anyway!

Well...... ??? It's A rib.....

the Arrow is desighned on the Parker 10 metre Baltic hull and has been tried and tested in very rough conditions..... Believe me you wouldn't want to be out in a force 8... to 9 without the tubes ;-) The same hull that the arrow is built on is used by a few "special" military units. The tube is only about 15cm out of the water wich is nothing in big seas. also when fitted with twin diesel it sits even lower , however still not touching the water surface. This eliminates the problem of drag, horrible growth on tubes and loss of speed.

The tubes still provide incredible stability and good shock absorbtion.

if you take a look at the pick i've added you'll see that many other rib manufactutrers are following the same trend on their boats...
there are many many R.I.B.S BUILT LIKE THIS.... SCORP.... ZODIAC... MADERA....ETC.... ETC....

Unfortunately, we will not have the arrow this year at Ribex, the Model shown in the photo's has been sold and will not be available. We do not have enough time to make another ;-( However, next years show will more tha likely have a twin diesel Version exhibited .

I would have liked to have the Arrow at Ribex but unfortunately the owner got his hands on the helm today and will not let go. Don't blame him anyway

There is an interest in the UK in such cabin ribs so I will make a point of having a twin diesel model next time round

good quality windscreen wipers would be good as well given the current weather prospects!

The helm looks brilliant - chartplotter in a perfect position.

I have to say though the anchor locker looks terrible - it may be just the photo but the woodwork looks really bad - the woodwork on the sides is stunning - they should match or at least paint the anchor locker!!!

I have to point this out as the rest of the boat looks very well made!!!

No - they are lovely boats - Nauti Boy was awesome - but imagine something like a Botnia Targa with tubes!!!

I was - like these:

perhaps not quite as walk around as you were imagining - but that would presumably mean either much wider boat (new hull/design/mould) that would be troublesome to tow on the road or much narrower wheelhouse which would be a compromise on space - however I am sure if you offer to write Andre a suitable sized cheque he would come up with something to suit.

They say that after an 8.4m Redbay the 11m cabin is the next choice.
Clearly there are some other interesting propositions. for the future of course.

There is a real advantage (other than internal cabin space) by having the cabin coming to the tubes. It allows the tubes to be attached in two palces often close to 150 degrees apart. This gives extreme tube retention, compared to a single flange attachment.
